Student Representatives Council - Department of Economics

Student Representatives Council

The Student Representatives Council of the Department of Economics encompasses all the students in our department. From these students, the Student Representatives Council is formed, representing the interests of all the department’s students. Funds are provided from the yearly budget of the General Students’ Committee (AStA) and are at the Council’s disposal.

The Student Representatives Council (FSR) is responsible for maintaining communication between the lower and advanced semesters and for passing on information, experiences, and learning aids. The Council is the go-between for student problems of all kinds.

A further function of the FSR is preparing and running a departmental plenary assembly. Each student of the department has the right to vote, to take the floor, and to enter a petition. The Council is bound to the resolutions of the plenary assembly. The departmental plenary assembly is the joint representative of all departments of the university. During plenary assemblies, issues and problems as concern the Students’ Council are discussed in order to improve collaboration and communication among the various departments of the university.
