As a major transportation hub for people and goods within Europe, the Rhine-Main region is experiencing disproportionate growth in the area of logistics. This means that demand is high for qualified specialists with the knowledge and skills to successfully manage the ever-increasing complexity and ever-increasing demands of logistics customers. A major in Logistics provides a solid understanding of the processes involved in the flow of materials/information between suppliers and customers, and delivers the knowledge and skills you need to plan, design and manage these processes. The program provides broad-based training/competencies in logistics and is not specific to any one industry or industry sector.
With a major in Logistics, graduates can look forward to good career opportunities with industrial/commercial companies (logistics-relevant departments), with logistics companies, as well as with logistics-oriented consulting firms, associations and government authorities. This includes areas such as materials management, order fulfillment, dispatch, procurement, production planning and management, warehouse management and supply chain management.
At Hochschule Darmstadt you also have the option of continuing your Logistics studies in the Master’s degree program.
