Business Administration M.Sc.

Program overview

Thank you for your interest in our four-semester Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Business Administration, offered at our Business Campus in Dieburg.

Our approach

Panta rhei (“everything flows”), a phrase attributed to the Greek philosopher Heraclitus, refers to the constant change in our lives – an aphorism all the more true today in our fast-moving, ever-changing world. Given the rapid pace of globalization, economic and technological innovation, and cultural and socio-demographic change, lifelong learning has become a necessity in today’s world. Continuous personal growth and development, the ability to adapt quickly and think holistically have become essential skills for navigating the increasingly complex structures of modern society.

Today, your success in business, research or the public sector will depend not only on acquiring deep knowledge within your field, but also on your ability to think across disciplines, to solve problems effectively, and to anticipate both opportunities and threats.

Darmstadt Business School offers a Master’s program for students interested in expanding their knowledge and skills in the area of Business Administration, with a focus on project-oriented, applied learning.

The Master of Science is a consecutive, full-time program over four semesters; upon successful completion of the program graduates will earn 120 ECTS points.

The purpose of the M.Sc. program is to deepen and expand your knowledge and methodological expertise in the area of Business Administration. The first semester will continue to build on your core business/management knowledge base, with a focus on international perspectives. In the second semester you will decide on one of four areas of specialization, all of which are of central importance for today’s global companies:

  • Auditing/Tax/Controlling
  • Information Management
  • New Media Marketing
  • Logistics

Within each area of specialization, application-oriented lectures, seminars and project work provide a forum for students to apply their knowledge to solving real-world problems. Independent study projects promote further acquisition of practical knowledge and skills.

Career opportunities

Graduates of the program go on to work in industry, commerce, banking, insurance, management consulting, PR/advertising or other services, for public agencies (e.g. supervisory authorities, central banks, broadcasting corporations), municipalities or other regional authorities (such as cities, counties, states) or as freelance professionals in a range of different fields including management, IT, logistics, manufacturing, marketing, consulting, legal compliance, finance, human resources or communications.
