The Rhein-Main region is not only a major transportation hub for people and goods within Europe, but also an important manufacturing hub. No wonder then that logistics – a field that includes all processes associated with the movement of goods throughout the product life cycle – is experiencing disproportionate growth in the Rhein-Main region. Demand is high for qualified logistics specialists who are capable of managing the growing complexity and ever-increasing customer demands. The Bachelor degree program in Logistics Management provides students with an understanding of the processes involved in the flow of materials/information between suppliers and customers, as well as the knowledge and skills they need to plan, design and manage these processes. Graduates of the program are logistics specialists, who are nevertheless equipped with broad-based, interdisciplinary knowledge and skills.
The knowledge, skills and qualifications required for these areas of work are conveyed by way of various Logistics Management program modules. The curriculum includes seminars, lectures, field trips as well as project work and practical experience. While graduates of the Logistics Management program are qualified to enter the workforce as young logistics professionals, they also have the option of pursuing a Master’s degree.
