Welcome and Orientation

As a student at h-da exchange student, of course you are not on your own.
We can assist you with some administration and practical matters.
Our welcome & orientation program is there to help you sniff into the German culture and language and to having fun.
For administrative matters (how to apply for an exchange semester – how to request a visa – finding accommodation in Darmstadt and Dieburg – enrollment), please turn h_da’s International Office.
For questions about courses offered by the Business Department, please turn to Professor Monika Futschik. (If you’re interested in taking courses from other departments as well, see our overview of English-taught classe.
Our Welcome & Orientation program for exchange students comprises info sessions on important matters, German language and culture courses, day trips within Darmstadt and the region (such as Frankfurt, Marburg, Heidelberg) and fun activities (a traditional German welcome dinner, hang-outs, playing sports together and more).
