We are delighted that Marvin Bauer, BSc Business Administration with a focus on logistics, has won the Thesis Award at this year's Logistics and Mobility Congress.
The prize money of €500 was sponsored by Miebach Consulting. Seven colleges/universities with over 300 participants took part in this year's Logistics and Mobility Congress of Hessian Universities.
Each of the participating colleges/universities nominated an outstanding thesis for the Thesis Award. The nominees then compete in a 5-minute pitch during the Logistics Congress. Marvin Bauer's bachelor's thesis on ‘Can slow steaming and alternative fuels effectively contribute to achieving climate neutrality in international container shipping?’ was clearly convincing and was voted first place by a wide margin by the participants. The true-to-scale container ship model he created himself illustrated his results and was very well received by the audience.
‘We are really happy for Marvin Bauer and congratulate him on his Thesis Award,’ said the two supervisors Prof Dr Monika Futschik and Mr Nourddin Odris, DB Schenker.
