Guest Speakers from KPMG in FACT-M.Sc. "Digital Finance" class of Prof. Dr. Kiermeier's on Nov. 5th in Dieburg F15/101 starting 12.30 pm

On November 5th Ms. Höynck and Mr. Wallis from KPMG will present there work in the FACT-M.Sc. class "Digital Finance" at 12.30pm in Dieburg in Room F15/101: They focus on topics related to treasury accounting and commodity trading. As a team of specialists, they support the audit process during year-end financial statement reviews by examining the valuation and accounting of (derivative) financial instruments (hedge accounting under IFRS 9) and share-based payment arrangements (IFRS 2). In addition, they conduct their own advisory projects on these matters. Their work also includes the review and advisory of the valuation and accounting of energy procurement contracts (Power Purchase Agreements). Within these areas, they also address ESG aspects, such as ESG or green power certificates in PPAs, ESG components of financial instruments, and ESG features in share-based payment arrangements.

Everybody is very welcome! The presentation will be in English, but both speakers are also able to answer questions in German.
