With these words, site manager Michèle Rieger and her team welcomed the 30 students on the Logistics Management course and gave them a tour of DHL's XXL parcel centre, which is six football pitches in size.

The sorting capacity of up to 50,000 shipments per hour and the size of the centre with two 280-metre-long sorting arms alone was impressive for all the students. The final visit to the technical centre, from where the systems are controlled and monitored, opened up a completely new perspective behind the technical scenes.
